 Carina VanPelt is a dedicated education professional with a lifelong commitment to fostering high-quality learning opportunities for all students. With over two decades of experience in the field, Carina brings a diverse background in teaching, school administration, and providing fiscal stability to small private schools to her new endeavor.

Carina's journey in education has been marked by a deep passion for innovation and excellence. Having served as the principal of a small private school for ten years and also as vice principal of a Title 1 public school, she has honed her leadership skills and demonstrated a keen understanding of the complexities of educational administration.

Prior to becoming a school administrator, Carina spent a decade as a dedicated educator, teaching across all grades from second to eighth. Her experience spans public, private, and charter schools, including contributions to the founding of a STEM public school and the establishment of a charter school. This diverse background has equipped Carina with a broad perspective and a wealth of practical knowledge in navigating the challenges and opportunities in education.

Drawing on her proven track record of success in enrollment growth, financial stewardship, marketing, and community engagement, Carina is honored and excited to support the expansion of Alturas Academy.
