Principal

Dayna Crose was born and raised here in Idaho Falls. She has been married over 30 years, has 3 children: TJ, Josh, and Halle. Spending time with family boating and hiking are two of her favorite activities. She also enjoys spending time reading a really good book. Mrs. Crose loves Mexican food and cookies. She has a Labradoodle puppy named Ellie. Aside from her kids, two accomplishments she is proud of are hiking Half Dome in Yosemite National Park and Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park.

She pursued higher education at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. She received a bachelor of science degree in Zoology. Mrs. Crose worked over 10 years in District 91 primarily as a paraprofessional and as a substitute teacher. She received her certification in elementary education in 2018.

Teaching children has long been one of Mrs. Crose’s greatest joys. It energizes and excites her to see that “Aha!” moment or to see her student's inquiring minds light up. The honesty, openness, and enthusiasm of children has always been something she enjoys and appreciates. Mrs. Crose loves the environment at Alturas where students can collaborate and learn within a small group format. She strives to instill in the students a love for learning and motivate them to be self-driven learners.
