Joanne Slifka

Joanne Slifka was born and raised in Montana. She attended Western Montana College (now Montana Western) where she obtained her BS in Health/PE with a Sports Medicine emphasis and a minor in Biology.  Joanne, also, received her MS from the University of Cincinnati in Secondary Physical Education, where she was the Graduate Assistant to the Intramural Program.  In the early 2000s, Joanne obtained a minor in P-12 Special Education from Montana Western.

Joanne has many hobbies but loves sports, and the outdoors, which include biking, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, working on her parent’s small ranch, and much more. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and spending time with her family.  Joanne has a son, a daughter, and five active grandchildren ranging from the ages of 4 to 15.

Joanne is delighted to be a member of the Alturas family.  Go, Lobos!!!
