Joyce Ellis

Joyce Ellis was born and raised in Meridian, Idaho. After high school she attended NNU with a major in Elementary Education. After getting married in 2011, Joyce and her husband moved to Idaho Falls and started their family. Joyce and her husband, Don have two wonderful sons, Ryan and Tyler and two beautiful daughters, Jocelynn and Melody.

Along with teaching, Joyce has always had a passion for hair and nails. She received her cosmetology license from Vogue Beauty College shortly after moving to Idaho Falls. Joyce has worked in multiple daycares and schools and has been teaching K3 at Watersprings School for over four years but is excited to join the Alturas team! She will be receiving her BA in Teaching through WGU and can't wait to share her love of learning with the students.

Joyce has three dogs and two cats: Sugarplum, Jack, Boomer, Elway and Flash. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, going fishing, crocheting, reading and doing crafts.

Joyce's favorite part about teaching is seeing the students "light bulbs" go off when they understand a concept she's been teaching. Watching the students learn and grow is such an amazing experience as a teacher.

Joyce is so excited to begin her journey here at Alturas International Academy.
