Yesica Corona Martinez
Grades 1-3
Miss Yesica Corona Martinez was born in Mexicali Baja California Mexico, and raised in a small town named “Cerano” in Guanajuato, Mexico. She loves teaching, journaling and making crafts. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, reading, listening to music, exploring/hiking and attending baseball games.
She wanted to be a teacher ever since she was young and has been an English teacher for 9 years. She started working as a teacher when she was 18 years old and has worked with students from Pre-k to 6th grade. Her proudest accomplishment was receiving her Bachelor’s degree in “Teaching English” as a second language from The University of Guanajuato.
Yesi is looking forward to meeting her new students and sharing her creativity and enthusiasm as well as supporting, encouraging and inspiring them. Her biggest happiness is making an impact on their learning. Yesi is excited to learn about the culture and teaching methods at Alturas International and most importantly to grow as a teacher. She is very happy to be forming a part of the Alturas International Academy Team, and can't wait for the school year to begin.
