APPLICATION PROCESS
Families can submit an online application via SchoolMint, our application and lottery management tool.
REQUIREMENT
The State of Idaho requires your child to be 5 years old by September 1st of the year they start kindergarten. Idaho Code Statute 33-201
APPLICATIONS
Alturas Academy will begin accepting applications fin mid-January. The application window closes on March 31. Applications received after the deadline will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist in the order it is received.
LOTTERY
Alturas Academy will hold the automated lottery via SchoolMint on the first Friday in April. Email notifications will be sent offering a seat or adding the student to the waitlist.
PRIORITY
FIRST – Returning Alturas students
SECOND – Children of full-time employees, or the Founders
THIRD – Siblings of students at Alturas or selected by the lottery
FOURTH – Prospective students inside charter defined district
FIFTH – Prospective students outside charter defined district
OFFERS
All students that secure placement during the lottery will receive an email via SchoolMint. Emails will be sent within 1-3 days of the lottery. Offers of enrollment must be accepted within the date provided, otherwise the seat will be forfeited.
